Biography：
Yen-Wen Wu, MD, PhD holds the position of Director of Cardiovascular Medical Center at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, Adjunct Professor of School of Medicine, National Yang Ming Chao Tung University, and Graduate Institute of Medicine, Yuan Ze University.
Dr. Wu received her MD degree from College of Medicine, National Taiwan University, and her Master and PhD degrees from Graduate Institute of Clinical Medicine, National Taiwan University. She did her internal medicine/nuclear medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at National Taiwan University Hospital, and still serves as Adjunct Attending Physician at Departments of Internal Medicine and Nuclear Medicine, National Taiwan University Hospital.
She served as the Secretary General of Taiwan Society of Cardiology (TSOC) and Vice CEO of Taiwan Heart Foundation (THF) from 2018 to 2020. Currently she serves as the Secretary General of Taiwan Association of Lipid Educators, Chair of Cross-Discipline Committee in Taiwan Society of Cardiology, Chair of Nuclear Cardiology Committee in Society of Nuclear Medicine, R.O.C, Executive Board Member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, R.O.C, Taiwan Hypertension Society, Taiwan Society of Lipids, Atherosclerosis and Taiwan Society of Atherosclerosis & Vascular Diseases, Taiwan Society of Aldosteronism, Taiwan Society of Resuscitation and Critical Care, and Taiwan Myocardial Infarction Society. She is the Councilor in the Executive Council of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology from 2021 to 2025.
Dr. Wu has published over 265 articles in peer-reviewed (SCI) journals, and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Acta Cardiologica Sinica which is the official journal of Taiwan Society of Cardiology, and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging since 2015, which is the official journal of Society of Nuclear Medicine, R.O.C. She also in the editorial board of Korean Circulation Journal (KCJ), which is the official journal of Korean Circulation Society, and Journal of Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology (JAPSC), which is the official journal of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology. Dr. Wu is the Fellow of European Society of Cardiology (FESC), American College of Cardiology (FACC), Japanese Circulation Society (FJCS), Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology (FAPSC), and the member of Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI), American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC), and American Heart Association (AHA).
She has long-standing interest in cardiovascular imaging, nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, biomarkers, and heart failure, and has been recognized for her research work with the numerous awards and honors she received from domestic and international scientific bodies, and national awards, including Cardiovascular Young Investigator Award of the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) (2007/06/06), Y.Z. Hsu Scientific Award - Outstanding Professor Award (2015/08/14), Gold Prize of Asian Cardiology Section of 61st Annual Scientific Meeting of the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine (2021/11/4-6), Outstanding Research Award of Taiwan Society of Lipids and Atherosclerosis (2022/09/17-18), Nong Ding Memorial Award (Distinguished Research Award) of Taiwan Society of Cardiology (2023/05/20-21), Future Tech Award (2023/10/14) and National Innovation Award (2023/12/27).
