Biography：
Dr. “Nici” Singletary serves on the ILCOR Scientific Advisory Committee and is a past Chair and current emeritus member of the First Aid Task Force. She serves as the Co-Chair of the Scientific Advisory Council for the American Red Cross and is a writing group member for their Resuscitation and Aquatic guidelines. A graduate of the University of Virginia and Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Singletary completed her residency in emergency medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center, San Antonio, Texas. She has served as an associate director of the Emergency Medicine residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School and is clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Virginia. Throughout her career Dr. Singletary has been an active instructor/instructor trainer in Basic Life Support, Advanced Life Support and Outdoor Emergency Care. She has served as Operational Medical Director for multiple EMS agencies and ski patrols, as a member of the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team Task Force VA-2, and she is a 30-year member of the National Ski Patrol.
