Biography:
Pauline Yeung Ng is Clinical Assistant Professor of Critical Care Medicine at The University of Hong Kong. She completed a research fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where she specialized in outcomes research. Upon returning to Hong Kong, she has consolidated territory-wide efforts to utilize data from electronic health records to assess outcomes after ICU care. She has published in fields of extracorporeal life support, pharmacoepidemiology, and respiratory infections. Her research interests also include point-of-care hemodynamic assessment in the ICU. She is a keen ECMO educator and was the chief editor of the online “ECMO 101” course hosted on ELSO.org. She is currently Assistant Dean (Hospital Engagement) at the Faculty of Medicine.
Key achievements or relevant background related to the presentation topic
As a member of the Asia-Pacific Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (APELSO), Dr. Pauline is advancing a collaborative project with TXP Medical to build a registry for patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).
